On November 14 one of my favorite conservative personalities, Glenn Beck, interviewed Congressman-Elect Kieth Ellison (D-MN). It was a great interview because Glenn dared to go where most conservatives are afraid to go, saying the following to the congressman:
BECK: Thank you. I will tell you, may I — may we have five minutes here where we’re just politically incorrect and I play the cards face up on the table?
ELLISON: Go there.
BECK: OK. No offense, and I know Muslims. I like Muslims. I’ve been to mosques. I really don’t believe that Islam is a religion of evil. I — you know, I think it’s being hijacked, quite frankly.
With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, “Let’s cut and run.” And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, “Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.”
Media Matters has a partial transcript here as well as the video from Glenn’s CNN Headline News show.
Giuliani didn’t have my vote before, but this solidified that wise decision…

I decided to make this cartoon to answer the question, “What if Jr. really told the truth about himself?”

I’m wondering why no one’s really picking up on this. I know that the race is fluid and issues many times move out as quickly as they move in, but I do wonder why it’s not even getting a lot of play in the blogosphere (or have I just managed to keep myself shielded?). That said, I have to give kudos to Rep. Stacey Campfield for addressing this issue a couple of times in the last few days.
